Blue eyes

Music by elton john
Lyrics by gary osborne
Available on the album jump up

Blue eyes
Baby’s got blue eyes
Like a deep blue sea
On a blue blue day
Blue eyes
Baby’s got blue eyes
When the morning comes
I’ll be far away
And i say

Blue eyes
Holding back the tears
Holding back the pain
Baby’s got blue eyes
And she’s alone again

Blue eyes
Baby’s got blue eyes
Like a clear blue sky
Watching over me
Blue eyes
I love blue eyes
When i’m by her side
Where i long to be
I will see

Blue eyes laughing in the sun
Laughing in the rain
Baby’s got blue eyes
And i am home, and i am home again

Last satruday was Pentax day. Pentax users where invited to tkae pictures on October 10th. I had the time on my hands, so I decided to participate. I headed for a region I never really visited before, the upper St-Lawrence region (Le Suroit). This region, is the most western part of the province. It’s situated south of the St-Lawrence river, and to the west the US Border. Valley, rivers, farm land, orchard are present thrue out the region and make for great picture subjects.

This picutre was taken on concession rd#1 on my way to Franklin center, near the US Border. The sun just came out of the clouds and illuminated the fall foliage along the road. I used 5 esposure to make this HDR. Enjoy!!!

The fall season is quite underway. It is a time that I love very much photographing. I love the colors, there just beautifull. Last Saturday, I went out with a few friends to a park north of the city to take some fall shots. It was an organised photo walk, but it ended up that only five people showed up, due to the forecasted rain and grey skies. We where quite lucky, it stopped raining as soon as we got out of the cars, and re-started as soon as we where finished taling pictures. It ended that I was quite satisfied with the results. I will share these results with you.

Let’s continue where I left off. The Just for Laugh festival. On the first weekend of the festival, usually a Sunday, they organise a Twins parade thrue the city streets. The event is quite high in color and a very popular event. Hundreds of twins of different ages, parade thrue the streets organised in different sections or panels.

On this occasion I walked the parade instead of staying at one point. The opportunities for interesting shots where allot better. This picture was near the end, you could see the fatigue of these two guys, having to smile constantly for pictures is not an easy thing to do.

Land of giants

During the Just for laught festival, St-Denis street is closed up to traffic every night. The place is very animated, restaurant and café terraces are full and lots of people walk down the street in search of street animation. In this picture we see such animation. Giant ladies, coming down the street dancing away and entertaining the crowd. in this shot I used my Sigma 70-300 at 170 to compress the Giants in online. The vertical format , also permitted me to include people walking about to give you an idea of the size of the characters.

Bloco Bateria

In July, right after the Jazz fest we have the Just for laugh festival.A comedy festival, French and English, that is divided in two parts. An interior part with shows held almost every night, and a street part.Witch is held on St-Denis street, the Latin quarters of Montreal. The firs weekend the festival opens with a big event. The parade of twins. A parade with lots and lots of twins and some music. This is one of the band that was participating, the Bloco Batteria, a Brazilian style percussion band. I took them while they where in the staging area waiting for the go ahead. I just love the colors, the balloons and the feathers.Enjoy…

This picture was also taken during the manga convention Okatukhon here in Montreal. We where outside in a little park facing the convention center, waiting for participant to come outside so we could photograph them. At the other and of the park I noticed these characters posing for another photograph. The scene that I was seeing, made me think of an impressionist painting, therefore the rendering of the picture. The 70-300 Sigma came in handy, being quite a distance from the subjects.Enjoy.
